Infinity: Prototypes 3-4

Kathy advised that I experiment with installation as a spatial strategy to guide observers through the gallery space. In response, I have been researching El Lissitzky’s Proun and Dresden Rooms. The initial tests for prototype 3 (Figures 1–5) and prototype 4 (Figures 7–11) yielded promising results. Kathy also emphasised the importance of introducing an element to indicate the scale of the work. As such, I constructed a scaled model of a person based on my height. When added to the prototype, this model demonstrated that the dimensions of the work are insufficient, as the top of the piece is only slightly above head height (Figures 6 and 12).
