Wall installation

Wall installation concept

Create a large wall mural using alternative darkroom processing a) solarizing multiple exposures from different negatives, or b) printing a single roll of film of fractured and distorted images (including multi-exposures). The piece uses a single roll of gelatin silver paper (approximately 1200x20,000mm). Install floating off the wall in a “wave-like” display.

Break the concept down:

  • What will I do?

  • How will I do it?

  • Why will I do it?

Why is it important to have the work floating “off” the wall?

What is the significance of the wave?

What is the academic theory that underpins this studio-based practice?

What has been the process for deciding on this installation method?

How has the project been developed prior to making it?
