Introduction
This introspective heuristic[1] investigation questions how analogue photography[2] can be explored to foster and visually iterate aesthetic responses to lived experience. Informed by theoretical disciplines, including neuroscience and philosophy, the practice-led study aims to (a) exploit analogue photography as a generative or process-based creative practice, where the confluence between artist, materials and process manifest in part or entirely as the artwork, (b) investigate how the interactions between artist, materials and processes may approximate, in real-time, aesthetic responses that lived experience can induce, and (c) push the medium’s boundaries to create unique photographic works of art that reflect and emanate metaphors of my existence.
